CryEngine 3 gets awesome soft-body physics simulator

If you’ve ever played around with the Rigs of Rods vehicle simulator then you know how much fun realistic soft-body physics can be under your control. The open source simulator was made possible through the use of the soft-body physics engine called Beam.

Now Rigs of Rod has been updated to run using CryEngine 3. The video above shows you the (very early) results of the work going into this project, and it certainly bodes well for the future of any games that use vehicles and Crytek’s engine.
